McBride Geometric Designed c. 1910 Body: 9954/10 Border: none TITANIC: It has long been said that carpet for the Titanic was woven at Stourvale Mill, though there is no definate proof. However, a famous photograph of a 2nd class cabin of the sister ship OLYMPIC clearly shows this design. A period color drawing of a 2nd class cabin shows the original colorway to be in red. Research in the design archive is underway to locate more Titanic designs. |
